Nawada district, located in the southern part of Bihar, is one of the 38 districts of the state. With its administrative headquarters in Nawada town, the district spans an area of 2,494 square kilometers (963 square miles) and is geographically positioned at 24.88°N latitude and 85.53°E longitude. The history of Nawada traces back to 1845 when it was established as a subdivision of Gaya district. Later, on 26th January 1973, Nawada was declared a separate district. The name “Nawada” is believed to have originated from the term “Nau-abad,” meaning “new town.”….
